Tamales de Chipilin

Today, someone brought us all little tamales at the clinic.  His mother made them for us!  Anyway, they were made with a vegetable called chipilin that I’d tried in El Salvador and forgotten all about.  It’s really terrific — the flavor is somewhere between asparagus and caper.  Here’s a bit more about it. Really need to find out where to get it in the US!  Here’s ther recipe:
